District of Aichach Friedberg

The eastern neighbour of Augsburg, also called "Wittelsbacher Land" because of its historical significance, has about 126,000 residents. Businessmen at the site take advantage of the good connections to the cities Munich, Augsburg and Ingolstadt, for instance via Highway A8, the European transport axis between Paris and Vienna. The district is a charming piece of ancient Bavaria. As a result it has become a very popular residential area. The municipalities in the district are not slumbering suburbs, but lively communities with a distinct life of their own. Between the maypole festival and a music evening in the castle courtyard, at the old city festival, or at the techno-party at the lake, there is ample opportunity to thoroughly enjoy life.
