The world is at home in the Augsburg economic region

Located in the heart of Europe and as a former trading metropolis, Augsburg lives and breathes European values and culture. But it is not only Europe that is represented in this cosmopolitan city. Apart from the German residents, around 67,072 people from over 140 other nations live in Augsburg. This means that the city has 22.5 percent foreign citizens.

This diverse population structure shapes and enriches the appearance and cultural life in the city of Augsburg and the entire region. This is why several projects, networks and institutions are dedicated to the international Augsburg.
